The 90s arcade games were known for combining lo-fi guitar and drums with orchestral elements to provide action and fantasy all at once. Great care was taken to adhere to retro aesthetics but to provide high enough quality composition to sound great to all players regardless of nostalgia.

The style is meant to match that of mid 90s arcade machines. Where you could be slaying dragons while also hearing guitar samples and rocking drums. This soundtrack features a fully retro realized orchestral section that plays right along side a fully lo-fi band that gives a unique action flavour to any type of game, from Fighting Games, to JRPGs right down to Puzzle Games.

COMPOSER BACKGROUND:

My name is Matthew Creamer (also known as Norrin_Radd) and I have worked on critically acclaimed soundtracks such as Retro City Rampage and Shakedown Hawaii, and have partnered with Cartoon Network to release audio and sound design for Match Land Cartoon Network and Ben 10 Heroes (mobile). I have been creating music professionally for 10 years and my music has appeared on every major console and handheld, as well as over a dozen mobile games.

I got my start in music 20 years ago by creating authentic chiptune music with a guitar in my hand as I wrote. Chiptune music, for those that are curious, is music that is meant to adhere to strict limitations of retro consoles. Since that time I have built an impressive studio armed with $25,000+ in professional audio software, instruments, effects and sample libraries, capable of tackling any project, whether it is live or created on the keyboard.

I've seen it all and I love to bring a very unique approach, and the highest quality to every project I work on.
