Prefab Kit: Batch Management Tool

Prefab Kit is a powerful Unity Editor tool that simplifies and speeds up prefab and GameObject management across all scenes. Whether you're organizing, editing, or assigning components, Prefab Kit makes large-scale edits quick and efficient.

Getting Started

After launching the Prefab Kit, the tool is divided into five main sections: Layers, Actions, Components, Cleanup, and Help. Each section helps you manage your objects efficiently across all scenes.

Layers Section

- Open and manage layers from the sidebar

- View total layers (up to 20)

- Add or rename layers

- Filter scenes using the dropdown

- Apply or delete layers in selected scenes

- Show/hide layers using the foldout

Actions Section

- Select a GameObject to edit

- Rename the object

- Filter scenes using the dropdown

- Activate/deactivate objects

- Show/hide objects

- Set objects as pickable/unpickable

- Change the object's tag and layer

- Apply or delete changes across selected scenes

Components Section

- Open and manage components

- Select a source object (where components come from)

- Select a target object (where components go)

- Choose one or all components

- Select the script to assign them to

- Assign with a single click

Cleanup Section

- Manage cleanup across the project

- Toggle sections to include in the scan

- See section titles for quick understanding

- Click found objects to jump to their scenes

- Scan your whole project or selected scenes
