The Simple Level of Detail Framework provides a quick and simple way to incorporate objects with multiple levels of detail. You can provide detailed models for up close encounters that seamlessly change to lower resolution models or even billboards at further distances. There is no coding required: Just drag your models onto an LOD Prefab and set the desired distances.
