Tech

We process the images in a background thread, to reduce ugly hitches in gameplay. We also delay reading from the GPU until after capturing is complete, so any slowdown won't interfere with the action you're trying to record.

We have several features to allow you to control file size, to keep your GIFs small enough to post on popular websites.

We pick colour palettes using a machine learning approach, which tends to produce better looking images than the usual clustering approaches.
